Lefkada
is world known for the windsurf and kitesurf condition
it offers in summer time when a thermal wind blows the
island in the afternoons.
There are two famous beaches in Lefkada where hundreds
of windsurfers and kitesurfers gather and offer a beautiful
multicoloured spectacle. These two beaches are Vassiliki
and Frini-Agios Ioannis.
Vassiliki is situated 38 km south from the island’s capital.
Agios Ioannis-Frini is situated just a couple of kilometres
from the island’s capital and is one of the most beautiful
beaches of the island. It has colours as if the blue colour
of the sea was mixed with bleaching water.
These two beaches propose accommodations in front of the
beach, specially organised for windsurfers and their materials.
